Cervical Length Scan
At Preview baby our Cervical Length Scan is used to assess & measure the length of the cervix which helps when monitoring for premature labour prevention. It is also recommended for women who have a history of late miscarriage, multiple pregnancy or have previously had surgery on the cervix.
Please ensure you leave a minimum of 2 week intervals between cervical length scans.
Before Your Scan
When you book your appointment we will confirm some details, like how far along your pregnancy you are. It is not necessary to attend with a full bladder. Please aim to arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so that we can get your paperwork out of the way, and maximise the time you can spend with your baby.
What Your Visit Involves
Once you are in the scanning room you will be able to see exactly what our sonographer is viewing as we have installed a large wall mounted screen for you and your family to watch your baby in real time. Once we have obtained images of your baby you will then be able to choose which images you would like to take home with you.
Speak to us on the day before your scan starts if you would like additional prints.
